Good customer service! Pickup on time
I have used Dalhousie Fine Drycleaners for many years and have always received great customer service even accommodating a last minute trip last year that would have left me in a pickle if I couldnt have had the clothes cleaned! Their shirt service is top notch as well as all other services offered! This place is where I trust with my valued dryclean only clothes. After I heard they do work with Ethos (a downtown wedding dress boutique), I knew I was in the right place! I mean if they can clean many of thousands of dollars in Bridal wear and have for many years I would say they are more than capable!! Thx everyone at Dalhousie
I had two jackets and a blanket dry cleaned here and the service was fantastic. I had a Groupon to cover most of the cost, however I will definitely come back regularly for my dry cleaning needs. :)
Ongoing weekly service for all my shirts and dry cleaning needs has always been 5 stars . Norman set me up an account and the quality , promptness , and friendly staff have provided me with the best service possible . I would highly recommend Dalhousie Fine Dry Cleaning to every one .
I wish I had read the previous reviews before taking my dress to this place.The only reason I feel obliged to write this review is because the owner, Norm, told me that if I wrote a poor review (even if its honest) he would get his lawyers involved. I dont appreciate the feeling of being muzzled or feeling like I cant express a truthful public review. Ive just noticed other peoples reviews before posting this one myself and am relieved to know that Im not the only one who has had a very poor experience with the Manager and Owner at Dalhousie Fine Dry Cleaners. It actually surprised me to see these reviews since the owner said to me over the phone weve been in business 25 years and have never had a bad review. False.I brought a $250 bridesmaids gown to be dry cleaned. There was a small piece of material that had fallen out of one of the layers, but it only needed to be sewn back in to be good as new so that I could re-wear the dress to a wedding this weekend. When I dropped the dress off at the dry cleaners the employee and myself both looked over the dress for any other damage but could not identify anything else wrong with it. Sadly when I went to pick up the dress there were 3 nickel sized holes and some smaller tears on the back of the dress. I called to speak with the manager and explained the situation. She became silent and then immediately got her back up and told me that all they did was hang up the dress and that they arent responsible for any damage. I was very disappointed in the way she handled the situation and asked to speak with the owner. After a few weeks of phone tag I finally got in touch with the owner, Norm. His response and reaction was far worse than the Managers. One of the first things he said was look, Sara, I dont know what the argument is about, the damage is clearly cigarette burns, this is not our fault (my name is Christina and I was never arguing with you). He continued to say this dress has obviously been through a party. He completely denied that the damage was their fault. To their only benefit, they offered to reimburse me the money I had already paid for the dress to be dry cleaned. But the thought of going into that place again and dealing with such poor customer service gives me too much anxiety to even accept a $20 refund. An apology or a small considerate gesture would have settled things fine in my mind, instead all I received was blame and rudeness. Im amazed this business is still running with Management like this.
