Great place for birthdays and fun dates! 1 of 2 locations I've been too!Amazing place for casual, group dining, and also great for dates or birthdays. Play the menu correct and you can enjoy either an high end and expensive meal, or quicker and cheaper alternatives, both equal quality and delicious. They also do fish carving on specials nights at one of the locations, a neat experience I would like to see for myself!Highly recommend.
Kinjo is the sushi place I usually visit when I go to Calgary. The atmosphere is great, the food is delicious and the owner is awesome. You'll know when he's there. The service is excellent and prices are about what you'd expect. A bit on the steeper side but quality is definitely there Not sure if anyone else really cares but the bathrooms are clean and modern looking.Anyway, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good sushi.
Excellent Sushi place near university. They are located in the shopping complex near Dalhosie train station. They have nice decor and seating arrangement. They actually celebrate Tuna cutting every Thursday evening. There menu choices are extensive and reasonably priced. We had tempura, lobster sushi, ginger chicken, fried rice etc. All of them tasted nice. The best part was desserts especially the triple chocolate mousse. Overall good service and quality.
Brought my 20 month old son here for lunch and will definitely be back again! I was alone with my son and the staff was brilliant!!! Almost immediately after seating us they brought over there cutest little fruit plate for him, followed by a sample of 4 different maki rolls, then brought his sweet potato fries out first. The staff were all very sweet with him and he had no time to get fussy! Which, if you're alone with a toddler, you know how valuable this is!!! Once he was done eating, but I still had to finish (this is the hardest time when eating out with a toddler!) they brought over complimentary Pocky and that kept him occupied and happy until I was done eating. This may just be the best dining out experience I have ever had with my son :) Not only was the food delicious, they are very kid friendly, with an excellent staff who very attentive. This will definitely be our restaurant of choice when we are out running errands again.
It was our first visit here and the experience was super pleasant. One of the best Japanese restaurants I've eaten. Food was served quickly and the things that we haven't tried before were the most tasty. I've almost dropped this to 4 stars because of the Fried rice. It was stale but since it's only 1 out of the 10+ items we've ordered(and everything else was very good) I'll give it a slip. They also gave out free pocky's and starter sushi. Will definitely recommend to others and I'll make sure to bring our future guests visiting Calgary here!
